Berrien county road commission employee killed while on the job

A road commission employee was killed after being hit by a vehicle, while on the job.

It happened on Wednesday, July 20, when the Berrien County employee was working on cutting a fallen tree, in the area of Red Bud Trail and Glendora Road.

Officials say a vehicle driving south hit the tree and employee.

The employee was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, a 34-year-old Buchanan man, had minor injuries.

He was arrested for operating while intoxicated.
