A suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with a deadly stabbing at Beacon Heights Apartments.

Officers were called around 4:20 p.m. on Saturday, Nov.4, to the complex in the 3400 block of Ardmore Trail on the report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers located Martinez Lambert, 39, of South Bend, suffering from apparent stab wounds.

Lambert was transported to the hospital, where he died due to his wounds.
Through the investigation the South Bend Police Violent Crimes Unit identified Joseph Williams, 39, as a suspect.

On Monday, Williams was charged with Murder for his role in Lambert’s death. He’s currently being held at the St. Joseph County Jail.
