Very generous tipper honors late friend at Benton Harbor café

100 us dollar bill

Someone left a $10,000 tip at a café in Benton Harbor on Monday.

It was left by someone who wished to remain anonymous after a breakfast at the Mason Jar Café. The generous diner said it was in honor of a recently deceased friend, whose memorial service he had just attended.

WSJM reports that the server was asked to split the tip with her coworkers, and did so. Several staff members at the café say they are hoping to honor the deceased woman who inspired the generous tip.
