Following repeated shutdowns due to infrastructures problems earlier this year, plans are proceeding for some major fixes in the County-City Building and Courthouse One building in downtown South Bend.
County Commissioners are proceeding with a $2.1 million dollar project to replace the roof at Courthouse One.
Crews will also replace the boilers in the County-City Building, which heat the building and the entire court complex at a price tag of around $1 million dollars.
WSBT reports the projects are in response to water main breaks during last winter’s extreme cold.
Additional repairs will follow once these are completed.
