The U.S. House Democratic Caucus has elected Representative Frank Mrvan to serve on the House Appropriations Committee.
Mrvan said Wednesday that he has sought this position since his first day in Congress. He says he looks forward to advocating for Northwest Indiana and the nation in his new role.
In a letter to Democratic House Leader Hakeem Jefferies, he detailed his wish to serve on the committee and said that he wants to dedicate his time, thoughts and passions to serving on the committee to advance policies and define the nation’s priorities.
