Benton Harbor Area Schools Superintendent Dr. Kelvin Butts will be leaving his post at the end of the school year.

In a letter to the community, Butts stated that he will work closely with the Board of Education and leadership team to ensure a smooth transition to whoever takes over his spot.

Butts final day as superintendent will be June 30.
