North Liberty Elementary Schoool students are celebrating a record-setting Kids Heart Challenge campaign.

Over 340 students at North Liberty and Walkerton Elementary schools participated in the free education and fundraising program in February to support the American Heart Association’s mission to have longer and healthier lives.

Families in the John Glenn School Corporation raised more than $20,000 this year, with more than $17,000 raised by students at North Liberty.

Those students celebrated on Thursday by spraying their principal with silly string and smashing pies in the faces of four teachers.
