The National Weather Service has confirmed that an EF-1 tornado hit parts of Starke and Marshall Counties on Sunday.

Crews from the NWS surveyed the damage Monday afternoon and determined that an EF-1 tornado hit the area on Sunday with peak winds of an estimated 110 miles per hour.

It’s believed to have started two miles north of Oak Grove in Starke County and traveled three miles to a spot one mile southeast of Donaldson in Marshall County.

A Plymouth woman was injured along the path when her trailer was destroyed and she was trapped under debris for 45 minutes before being rescued by neighbors.
