Rep. Yakym supports expanded drone rules proposal

Second District Congressman Rudy Yakym is voicing his support of a proposal to expand drone operations.

In Congress, Representatives Yakym and Democrat Dina Titus of Nevada voiced their support of the Department of Transportation’s proposed rule to expand drone operations beyond line of sight.

Yakym and Titus are co-chairs of the Congressional Unmanned Systems Caucus.

Yakym says “America should be a global leader in aviation safety and innovation, and saluted the leadership of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy on the issue.

How does allowing drones to operate beyond line of sight improve safety?

Historically, the government always over-regulates anything it touches. It’s hard to sell influence on things you cannot regulate!

Having someone propose removing regulations is a breath of fresh air.
