A 49-year-old man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for child molestation.

Prosecutors say Adrian Mora Rocha repeatedly molested a family member between 2006 and 2014, when the victim was between five and ten years old.

The victim, now an adult, told the court she was abused almost daily.

During sentencing, a victim advocate read her statement, in which she said the abuse has affected her nearly her entire life but that she’s glad Mora Rocha is being held accountable.

Mora Rocha pleaded guilty to one Level 1 felony count of child molestation. The Goshen News reports other charges were dismissed under a plea agreement.
