The Indiana Youth Institute released its 2025 Girl Report, showing a mix of progress and challenges for girls across the state.
Middle and high school girls report emotional struggles, including sadness and suicidal thoughts, at twice the rate of boys.
The report also highlights concerns about school climate, safety, and financial stability.
Screen time plays a role, with most girls spending three or more hours daily on phones, linked to higher rates of anxiety and depression.
One in four girls also experiences cyberbullying, far more than boys.
