Goshen man arrested following domestic violence incident on 3rd Street

A Goshen man has been arrested on multiple felony charges following a reported domestic violence incident.
According to the Goshen Police Department, officers began investigating after receiving a report on Monday, Oct 13, from a 42-year-old Elkhart woman who said she was assaulted, strangled, and held against her will in the 300 block of South 3rd Street.
Police identified the suspect as 32-year-old Eduardo Gonzalez Jimenez, of 306 S. 3rd St., Goshen. He was arrested on charges of domestic battery, kidnapping, strangulation, and criminal confinement.
Investigators said the woman had already received treatment at a local hospital for injuries to her neck. Gonzalez Jimenez was taken to the Elkhart County Jail.
