Berrien County Health Department offers free gun locks during Child Safety and Protection Month

In recognition of Child Safety and Protection Month, the Berrien County Health Department and Sheriff’s Office are reminding families to follow Michigan’s safe gun storage law.

They’re offering free gun locks to help keep kids safe. Health officials note firearm injuries are now the leading cause of death for Michigan children and teens, with most accidental shootings happening when a child finds a loaded, unlocked gun.

Free gun locks are available while supplies last at the BCHD office in Benton Harbor during regular business hours.

The Sheriff’s Office urges all gun owners to store firearms locked, unloaded and away from ammunition to help prevent tragedies.

This article contains verifiable about gun deaths. The mugs that make this stuff up have to count 15-19 year olds as children. Most of them are in gangs doing very stupid things when they are shot.

Government officials should not lie like this.
