McDonald’s impact on Indiana’s economy

McDonald’s has released its latest Economic Impact Report in partnership with Oxford Economics, highlighting the company’s role in Indiana’s economy.

The report highlights the company’s role in Indiana’s economy and shows the McDonald’s System generated more than 1.7 billion dollars in total GDP impact statewide.

Its direct contribution totaled 927 million dollars, equal to about 61 percent of Indiana’s grain farming industry. McDonald’s economic activity also produced more than 532 million dollars in federal, state, and local tax revenue.

Overall, McDonald’s directly and indirectly supported more than 28,100 jobs across Indiana.

The company also purchased over 66 million dollars in Indiana ingredients and provided more than 709,000 dollars in tuition assistance to nearly 320 Indiana employees.

Did McDonalds cite the big boost their food gives to the medical industry? Healthcare isn’t cheap, and their McSlop isn’t healthy.
