A 36-year-old Mexican national previously deported from the United States has been sentenced to prison for illegally returning.

Miguel Angel Vera-Rosales, who has a previous felony conviction for attempted sexual assault, pled guilty to felony reentry of a removed alien.

A federal judge sentenced him to 20 months, and he will be deported after prison.
