Mount Baldy access site closing for sand project

The Mount Baldy Access Site will be temporarily closed for a sand relocation project.
The National Park Service plans to move sand from a buried parking lot to Crescent Beach as part of ongoing management efforts.
Officials say the work will avoid damage to natural dune systems and archaeological resources.
The site is expected to remain closed from late March through mid-June.
