NIPSCO customers speak on higher bills

People who use NIPSCO are speaking up about higher utility bills.
They met with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission Wednesday at the Elkhart County Fairgrounds to share concerns about rising costs. This was the third listening session so far.
Many people said their bills have gone up a lot, in some cases doubling. Some people said they don’t understand why they’re paying more, especially when it comes to delivery charges.
They want clearer answers and want leaders to pay attention to what people can afford.
The IURC says it does not control those delivery charges. NIPSCO says it does not set rates on its own and must go through a state approval process.

This is a problem that has been going on for far too long. Big businesses like NIPSCO continue to hammer the working class. And the government regulators are asleep. We the people are being ignored by our government
