One of Ball State University’s oldest fraternities has been shut down following an investigation into alleged health and safety violations.

Sigma Alpha Epsilon’s national organization, working with the university, has suspended the Indiana Zeta chapter through at least August of 2030.

Ball State has also withdrawn the chapter’s campus recognition and is helping students who had planned to live in the fraternity house this fall.

Officials have not released details about the alleged violations.
