Police in Elkhart are investigating an armed robbery.

It happened at the Exxon gas station in the 2800 block of Cassopolis Street just after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Elkhart Truth.

Investigators describe the suspect as a black man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a mask. They say he demanded money from the clerk and took off on foot afterward.

There were no injuries reported in the robbery.
