The fight against the proposed gas tax increase in Indiana is about to hit the gas pumps themselves.
Signs made by the Indiana Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association will appear at over 1,000 gas stations across Indiana over the next couple weeks, according to ABC 57.
In addition to gas taxes, there would be a $15 annual vehicle fee and a $150 annual electric vehicle fee. That bill could be voted on as early as Tuesday, then head to the Senate for a Wednesday vote.
Democrats proposed a plan that would use gas sales tax, freeze wealthy tax breaks and cut government waste. However, a house committee rejected the plan.
