One person riding a motorcycle was killed in a four-vehicle crash southeast of Elkhart.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department says the crash involved a motorcycle, and SUV, and two pickup trucks. It happened about 1:40 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of C.R. 17 and C.R. 18, according to the Elkhart Truth.

Southbound C.R. 17 was closed between the U.S. 20 bypass and C.R. 18 and is being diverted onto the U.S. 20 bypass.

Officers have not said exactly how the crash happened.
