There’s another voice in the chorus of Michigan communities singing “no” about recreational marijuana shops.

On Monday, Nov. 19, Baroda Township members unanimously approved an ordinance forbidding sales in the township. This, after voters, statewide, legalized recreational marijuana.

The Baroda Village Council and other municipalities in southwest Michigan have also approved ordinances forbidding sales in their communities.

Recreational marijuana could be legal in the state as soon as next month.
