Child dropped off at South Bend hospital with life-threatening injuries Tuesday

An investigation is underway after a child was dropped off at a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

South Bend police report the child was dropped off at the hospital just before 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Per protocol, the St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit, the St. Joseph County Special Victims Unit and the Indiana Department of Child Services were notified.
