Former Notre Dame quarterback Tyler Buchner is returning to the Fighting Irish as a walk-on wide receiver. Buchner played in South Bend as the starting quarterback in 2022, before missing most of the season due to injury. Buchner then transferred to Alabama, starting one game for Nick Saban’s squad. Buchner returned to Notre Dame in the spring to play lacrosse, and is now joining Marcus Freeman’s squad as a pass catcher.
