Goshen traffic stop escalates into vehicle pursuit, driver arrest

A traffic stop escalated into a vehicle pursuit near the intersection of Hammond Avenue and Yuma Avenue in Goshen.

Officers initiated the stop, early Saturday evening, Nov. 23, for a moving violation.

During the investigation, the driver, identified as Juan Orozco, 34, of Elkhart, fled the scene.

After the pursuit, Orozco was apprehended and arrested on multiple charges, including resisting law enforcement with a motor vehicle, false informing, and operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license.

Authorities also discovered Orozco had two outstanding warrants in Elkhart County.

He was transported to the Elkhart County Jail, where he remains in custody.
