Centre Township Fire Dept.’s Battalion Chief arrested for domestic battery

The Battalion Chief with the Centre Township Fire Department has been arrested for Domestic Battery.
It happened late Monday night, March 24, when Mishawaka Police were called to a home on Elder Street and found the victim with  blood on their face.
 The victim told police an argument over a new job turned violent, and Christopher Haggerty began throwing objects and food.
The victim tried to call 911, but Haggerty threw a paper towel holder and raised a cutting board at them.
Haggerty has been charged with Domestic Battery and ordered to have no contact with the victim.
