U.S. Rep Jackie Walorski delivered the weekly Republican address on Saturday, Feb. 27.

Walorski, an Indiana Republican who serves on the House Armed Services Committee, discussed why House Republicans want to keep Guantanamo Bay detainees from being transferred to American prisons, according to House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI).

“I cannot emphasize enough that bringing terrorists to the U.S. is extremely dangerous and detainees sent to other countries will likely rejoin the fight against America,” Walorski said in a statement. “This will only jeopardize our national security and hamper our ability to defeat our enemies both at home and abroad. The message from the American people has been clear: keep terrorists off American soil.”
