A Rally’s restaurant in Mishawaka is on probation and the owner was fined after repeated health code violations were found during two separate inspections in April, as reported by the South Bend Tribune.

The St. Joseph County Health Department found eight violations during an April 6 inspection at Rally’s, 410 W. McKinley Ave., that were found again during a second inspection on April 20. The violations included cheese at a sandwich making station that was too warm and an employee preparing food without a hairnet.

The restaurant was fined $950 and will be inspected monthly for the next six months as part of the restaurant’s probation, the South Bend Tribune reported. The restaurant was also fined $1,700 in August for other health code violations.

Gene Centore, the district manager for Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, which owns Rally’s, appeared at a hearing on Wednesday, May 6. Read more about the hearing in the full story from the South Bend Tribune.
