Special featuring South Bend mayors, past and present, to air on WNIT-TV

WNIT Public Television will air a new program featuring South Bend’s mayors, past and present, on Sunday, Jan. 3 at 2 p.m.

The program features interviews with former mayors Jerry Miller (1972-75), Pete Nemeth (1976-79), Roger Parent (1980-87), Joe Kernan (1988-96), and Steve Luecke (1996-2011) reflecting on their time in office.

The program also features a conversation with current South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

As part of South Bend’s 150th anniversary, the monthly series “Discover… South Bend” also spoke with these mayors about their time in office.

WNIT will also replay the program on Thursday, March 3 at 7 pm.
