Handgun training class offered to women in South Bend on Saturday

Women interested in learning more about handgun safety can attend a “Women On Target” training class over the weekend.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, May 14, at the FOP #36 Lodge Home and Range, 25327 S.R. 23, South Bend, according to the FOP #36. The classroom portion begins at 9 a.m. Shooting is expected to begin at noon.

The class costs $40, which is due at registration. Participants must be at least 18 years old and can bring their own handgun or use one that will be provided.

Space is limited. Interested attendees can pre-register by emailing Sgt. Tom Cameron.
