A Michigan man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on St. Joseph Valley Parkway in Berrien Springs, Mich., on Monday afternoon, June 20.

A pickup truck traveling north on St. Joseph Valley Parkway crossed the highway median and crashed nearly head-on into a southbound van just before 2 p.m., according to the Berrien Springs-Oronoko Township Police Department.

The driver of the van, 38-year-old Jason Sidney Morse of Hickory Corners, Mich., was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck, a 28-year-old Indiana man, was taken to Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, Mich., and later released.

The crash remains under investigation, but police don’t believe weather was a factor.
