Many people in Michiana are cleaning up after a severe storm caused lots of trees, branches and power lines to topple over and roads to flood.

A tree crashed onto the fence of a home on Douglas Road near Fir Road in Mishawaka and a tree fell onto a car on Dayton Street in South Bend, our news partners ABC 57 reported.

Day Road was closed between Currant and Bittersweet roads because of downed trees and power lines in the roadway.

The storm damage was especially severe in Buchanan, Mich., where roads flooded throughout town and many power lines and tree limbs were down.

A fallen tree was blocking the westbound lanes of Western Avenue in South Bend near Four Winds Field as of 7 a.m.

Drivers should give themselves extra time to get where they need to go and expect to take alternate routes around storm damage.

No injuries were reported from the storms.
