South Bend residents cleaning up after the storm can schedule extra yard waste pickups this week to take away branches and debris.

Branches should be tied with twine into bundles no more than 30 inches in diameter and placed at the curb.

“The City of South Bend wants to ensure that we do what we can to make clean up easier for residents affected by yesterday’s storm,” Eric Horvath, director of public works, said. “We want to let residents know the City can help if an additional yard-waste collection is needed.”

To schedule a yard-waste pickup, South Bend residents can call 311 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
