Akron boy, 16, killed after crash on State Road 14 in Kosciusko County

A 16-year-old high school student from Akron has died several days after a crash in Kosciusko County.

Police say 16-year-old Brendyn Stump was headed east on State Road 14 on Saturday when his car went off the road, landed sideways in a ditch, and hit a utility pole.

Stump was pulled from his car and airlifted to a hospital, where died on Monday.

Stump was a student at Tippecanoe Valley High School, where he played baseball and basketball.
