Michigan City considers plans for $832 million data center

Milwaukee-based Phoenix Investors plans to transform the former Federal Mogul windshield wiper factory in Michigan City into an $832 million data center.
After concerns were raised by the city, the developer revised its proposal, offering to pay $26.1 million to the city and contribute to economic development.
Leaders say the data center project is supposed to bring economic benefits to Michigan City while repurposing an existing industrial site.
