A sobriety checkpoint will be set up in St. Joseph County on Friday night, Sept. 4, as Indiana State Police troopers look for intoxicated drivers as part of the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign.

The checkpoint will be conducted by Bremen Post troopers and begin in the evening hours, according to a news release from ISP. When the checkpoint ends, officers will conduct a saturation patrol in the county to look for impaired drivers.

Drivers should be ready to give officers their driver’s licenses and vehicle registration information when they enter the checkpoint, according to the news release. Delays of about two to three minutes can be expected.
