Indiana Toll Road exit 92 in Elkhart closed for two to four weeks

(Sam Householder/Elkhart Truth)

If you usually take one of the Elkhart exits off the Indiana Toll Road, you won’t be able to for a little while.

Exit 92 is closed for the next two to four weeks as crews repave both the entrance and exit ramps and do maintenance on the exit ramp bridge, according to the Elkhart Truth.

That also means businesses near the exit will be impacted. For instance, many recreational vehicle transport drivers stop at the Red Roof Inn near the highway, according to the Elkhart Truth.

The Elkhart County Convention and Visitors Bureau is recommending drivers use exit 96 near Bristol until the work on exit 92 is complete. Spokesman Terry Mark told the Elkhart Truth it’s better to get this project out of the way now before the summer tourist season.

This is a part of the major 80/90 PUSH project on the Toll Road that will continue into next year. For updates, click here.
