Three suspects are accused of leading Michigan City officers on a chase while throwing guns and a bag of drugs out of the window.

It happened Tuesday when a vehicle under investigation by the LaPorte County Drug Task Force was spotted by officers. That vehicle was pursued at speeds over 60 miles per hour during the chase, which ended with a crash at Vail and Fir Streets in Michigan City.

The South Bend Tribune reports the driver, a 25-year-old man from Michigan City, and a passenger are each accused of resisting law enforcement, with the passenger also facing marijuana charges.

Another passenger was hit by an undercover police vehicle and was treated for minor injuries. He was later given most of the charges, including firearm, drug, criminal recklessness, and multiple resisting law enforcement charges.
